The Seafarers (2015, Outdoor)

An image of the seafarers. Hannah Sampson dances with inclusive theatre company members from Highbury College

The Seafarers is a large-scale outdoor dance production, involving Stopgap dancers and members of the local community, to bring to life the vivid music of acclaimed contemporary-folk band Moulettes

The Seafarers celebrates our relationship with the sea and the journeys we make across it. Part gig, part spectacle, the 50-strong cast travel to and from distant lands with Great Yarmouth seafront as the backdrop.

Performances at Norfolk & Norwich Festival on Saturday 26 May (7.00pm) and Sunday 27 May (3.00pm)

Funded by Spirit of 2012 and The D’oyly Carte Charitable Trust

Original production commissioned and co-produced by Portsmouth Festivities in 2015 with support from Arts Council England. Norfolk performances supported by Norfolk & Norwich Festival. Project Partners: DanceEast and The Garage.
