CPD Training Coming In November

Stopgap are offering some training in November 2017

Responsive Teaching Practice & Developing Diverse Dance Talent - 18th November

Morning Session: Responsive Teaching Practice
This half-day intensive will focus on giving dance teachers the skills and confidence to make their dance classes inclusive for disabled people. Stopgap will share useful tools and theories behind responsive dance teaching, such as creating an inclusive space, adapting teaching language and encourage participants to find a sense of curiosity, creativity and play when teaching people with different bodies or different ways of learning.

Afternoon Session: Developing Diverse Talent
This session will explore the skills a great dance artist needs and how to interweave those skills into dance training using Stopgap’s inclusive methods.
Join us for an insight into how Stopgap has developed talented disabled dancers to become professional dance artists, choreographers and advocates.

Participants will all receive Stopgap’s teaching resource ‘Inclusive Dance Resource Pack: A Guide to Stopgap Dance Company’s Responsive Teaching Practice’ and CD of original music by Jim Pinchen.

Suitable for dance educators and practitioners.

AQA Dance Anthology Workshop: Artificial Things - 19th November
Join Stopgap for an informative day, discovering more about this GCSE set dance work. We will aim to answer any of your questions, leaving you full of knowledge of the dance work itself.
