Jo Hall General Manager

Jo has worked in dance education, community dance and dance development since graduating from the University of Surrey with a BA (Hons) Dance in Society with PGCE (Brighton, QTS) in 1997. Subsequently, she taught and led dance projects in a variety of community, primary, secondary and further education contexts whilst completing an MA and PhD in Dance Studies at the University of Surrey.

Since 2004, Jo has worked as a lecturer at a number of Higher Education institutions and conservatoires including London Contemporary Dance School, Middlesex University, the University of Surrey, Trinity Laban, the Royal Academy of Dance and Kingston University, London, where she was Principal Lecturer in Dance Studies from Sept 2010 until July 2017. Her book, based on her PhD research, Boys, Bass and Bother: popular dance and identity in UK drum ’n’ bass club culture, will be published in spring 2018 with Palgrave Macmillan.
